Working title: PHP Application Development Manager - Application Development Department

Official title: Sr. Programmer

Degree and area of specialization: BS or BA degree in computer science or related field with an emphasis on programming.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience: A minimum of 3 years work experience in the development of custom software written on the PHP development platform. A thorough knowledge of Mysql administration practices is essential, including installation, maintenance, backup and recovery and security of databases. Knowledge of SOAP, DHTML, HTML, Javascript, JAVA, and CSS Code Essential. Building software from scratch. We are not looking for a "Script Kiddie". We seek a professional developer, able to write software which could run the space shuttle if so required! Preference will be given to those with a documented or referred knowledge of osCommerce, OSCMAX and CRE Loaded osCommerce platforms.

Strong documentation skills and verbal and written communication skills are required. The ability to work as part of an IT Team supporting multiple applications and sites is very important. Prior experience working with customers in a hosting and dedicated server environment is a definite plus.

Principal duties:

• Development of Custom Software written in PHP.
  
• Modification of existing open source software such as osCommerce, Joomla, Mambo, Etc..
• Management of incoming quote requests.
• Assignment of jobs to least busy developer (including yourself).
• Answering Bug Complaints in a timely manner from customers.
